Within the framework of the Frutales Project, the District Municipality of Coyllurqui, in the Apurímac region, promoted the local production of avocados by delivering 800 grafted seedlings to the Association of Agricultural Producers San Guillermo de Coyllurqui. This initiative aims to strengthen the production chain of the crop and increase the income of the producers in the area. It should be noted that the association also receives constant technical support from the project staff, which includes verifying the correct installation of the seedlings in the field, thus ensuring proper and sustainable management of the crop. The activity was in charge of Ing. César Augusto Ortiz de Zevallos, manager of Economic Development, along with the technical team of the Frutales Project.
