Ukraine's fishing industry has caught over 30.5 thousand tons of fish and aquatic biological resources in the first half of 2021, with an industrial catch of 5.86 thousand tons. There has been a significant increase in catch in the Sea of Azov, the Danube, and the Dnieper-Bug estuary system. Additionally, Ukrainian vessels caught 22.19 thousand tons of krill in the Antarctic during January-June, a 7% increase from the previous year. Preliminary data also shows a catch of 1.05 thousand tons of marketable aquaculture products.
