The Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment in Aragón, Spain, has allocated 6,262,294 euros in subsidy for agricultural insurance premiums paid by farmers and ranchers before June 1, 2020. This subsidy, which supports 7,222 farmers, including 777 young farmers with a maximum aid of 65%, is primarily focused on the production of fruit trees, extensive arable crops, and carcass removal. The total cost of agricultural insurance policies in Aragón this campaign has been 68 million euros, with public support contributing to 24.7 million euros. In a year that has seen over 109,000 hectares affected by various climatic events, insurance payments have totaled 55.8 million euros.
