In Yozgat, Turkey, 61-year-old retiree Ahmet Arslan has developed a unique hobby of raising Araucana chickens, a Chilean breed known for their blue and green eggs. Over five years, Arslan has expanded his flock to 15, producing over 10 organic eggs daily for his family and neighbors. These eggs, prized for their higher protein and nutritional value, fetch 15-20 liras each, well above the price of regular eggs. Arslan's goal is to grow his flock to 50 chickens, each valued between 400-500 liras, highlighting the health benefits and unique qualities of the Araucana breed.
