The Livestock Project of the Regional Management of Agriculture of Arequipa continues to strengthen sheep production in the provinces of Islay and La Unión, through training and technical assistance in artificial insemination and improvement in animal health. The project's technical team reached the agrarian agencies of Dean Valdivia, Samuel Pastor, and Cotahuasi, where they developed a comprehensive training talk aimed at the producers. Subsequently, non-pregnant sheep were selected using ultrasound, and vitamins were applied to improve their body condition and the quality of their meat. The technical team also executed a heat synchronization protocol, with a 14-day treatment, to schedule artificial insemination with precision.
