The Exporters Association (ADEX) is organizing the II Capsicum Business Meeting on July 10 and 11, 2025, at the Catholic University Santa María (Arequipa). The event will bring together producers, exporters, national and international authorities and specialists, with the aim of analyzing the current landscape of Peruvian chili peppers and bell peppers, as well as their challenges and opportunities in global markets. During the days, thematic modules will be developed focusing on the national context, plant health, international trade trends, product diversification, innovation, and technology. Among the highlighted topics are contamination in paprika, regulatory challenges for exporting to the United States under the FSMA Law, and the valorization of chili peppers native to southern Peru as cultural heritage and a driver of rural development.
