In July 2024, Argentina's cattle slaughter reached 1.252 million heads, a 21.6% increase from June but a 3.1% decrease from July 2023. Adjusted for business days, daily slaughter rates dropped by 11.6%. The first seven months of 2024 saw a 9.4% decrease in total slaughter compared to the same period in 2023, with notable reductions in the slaughter of two-tooth and six-tooth males and females. Female slaughter made up 47.9% of the total in July 2024, slightly below the previous year. Beef production in July 2024 was 287.6 thousand tons, up 23.5% from June but down 1.2% from July 2023. The ABC Consortium reported a 28.8% increase in slaughter among its associated companies due to normalized working days.
