He maintained that they are currently advancing negotiations with the United States within a preferences agreement to achieve benefits in beef matters. "Negotiations involve tariff issues, but also volume. We have a quota of 20,000 annual tons that, compared to other countries like Australia, could be about aspiring for a bit more," he stated. Meanwhile, with China, they are working to enable the sanitary protocol that would allow exporting bovine offal, a product with high demand in that market. "We are very close, we are negotiating. Everything related to the sanitary part, safety, and administrative file is finished and depends on the Chinese government's willingness to agree on the sanitary certificate to make it effective and start exporting," he indicated.
