Argentina's government is temporarily reducing the fiscal burden on grain exports until the end of June to help offset the impact of drought and low commodity prices. The export duties for major crops such as soybeans, beans, oil, flour, wheat, barley, sorghum, corn, and sunseed will be temporarily reduced. The rates for soybeans and wheat will be reduced from 33% to 26%, and 12% to 9.5% respectively. Economy Minister Luis Caputo stated that the government is also encouraging businesses to reduce costs for exporters, but there are currently no funds for permanent reductions.
