Argentina's 2022/2023 soybean crop is estimated at 33.5 million tonnes, a decrease from the previously forecasted 38 million tonnes, due to drought, heat wave, and early frosts. This is the third reduction in the season's production estimates, which originally stood at 48 million tonnes. The country's corn production estimate has also been reduced to 41 million tonnes, down from 44.5 million tonnes. The drought, along with recent adverse weather conditions, has severely affected Argentina's agricultural sector, particularly its key grains.
