More than 5.2 million hectares of agricultural land have been sown in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
According to operational reports, the following areas have been sown in the regions:
• in Akmola region — 971.1 thousand hectares,
• in Almaty region — 228.4 thousand hectares,
• in Aktobe region — 124.9 thousand hectares,
• in East Kazakhstan region — 337.6 thousand hectares,
• in Zhambyl region — 316.5 thousand hectares,
• in West Kazakhstan region — 171.2 thousand hectares,
• in Karaganda region — 435 thousand hectares,
• in Kostanay region — 385.1 thousand hectares,
• in Pavlodar region — 467.9 thousand hectares,
• in North Kazakhstan region — 359.1 thousand hectares,
• in Turkestan region — 482 thousand hectares,
• in Zhetisu region — 353.6 thousand hectares,
• in Abay region — 463.6 thousand hectares.
At the same time, more than 3 million hectares have been sown with grain crops, 382.3 thousand hectares with feed crops, 91.4 thousand hectares with vegetable crops, 66.7 thousand hectares with potatoes, 69.9 thousand hectares with melons, 1.2 million hectares with oilseed crops, 130.9 thousand hectares with cotton, and 17.4 thousand hectares with sugar beets.
