ASAJA considers the Government's decision not to activate the extraordinary aid for olive groves and vineyards set by law to be unacceptable, citing the extension of the General State Budget. The agricultural organization demands immediate compliance with Law 1/2025 on the prevention of food loss and waste, which established a fund of 370 million euros —285 million for rain-fed olive groves and 85 million for rain-fed vineyards— intended for professional farms most affected by drought and the rising costs following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The fourth additional provision of Law 1/2025 obliged the Executive to approve within a maximum of two months from its approval a direct grant aid, integrated into the CAP system, aimed at professional farmers, priority farms, and rain-fed olive and vineyard areas.
