There are those who came to the site not by anyone's instruction, but by their own resolve. Rural leaders who were concerned about their neighbors first, even though their own farms were damaged. They were the face of rural community spirit. The Korea Rural Leaders Association of Asan City (Chairman Kim Nam-hun) and employees of the Asan City Agricultural Technology Center's Rural Resources Division sweated diligently on the 20th to restore areas in Yeomchi-eup Goggyo 1-ri that suffered major damage from the record-breaking concentrated rainfall on the 17th. This rainfall poured over 300mm across the entire Asan region.
