The National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi) published the agroclimatic risk forecast for potato cultivation corresponding to the November 2025 – January 2026 quarter. According to the report, precipitation is expected to be between normal and below normal values in the central coast, as well as in the northwestern and central western highlands, which could influence the development of the crop during the agricultural campaign. In contrast, the southern coast, the northeastern highlands, the central eastern highlands, and the southwestern highlands would record rainfall within their normal ranges. Maximum temperatures would remain normal in the coastal strip; however, in the Andean region, they would oscillate between normal and above normal in the northern and central highlands, and a higher scenario for the entire southern highlands.
