The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in South Korea is taking steps to prevent the spread of livestock infectious diseases such as African swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease, and high pathogenic avian influenza. This includes intensive quarantine management, disinfection, and control measures for farms and livestock facilities. Additionally, vaccination management and restrictions on the movement of livestock manure are in place to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease. The ministry is also considering measures to prevent the spread of African swine fever from wild boars and is promoting farm-level quarantine to block the inflow of pollutants into pig farms.
