In February, Australia's wheat and durum exports experienced a significant decline, totaling 2,311,024 tonnes, which is a 12 percent decrease from January and a 24 percent drop compared to the same month in the previous year. The main destinations for these exports included Indonesia, Thailand, and China for containerised shipments, and China, Indonesia, South Korea, and The Philippines for bulk exports. Notably, February marked the resumption of bulk durum exports to Algeria for the first time since October 2023, playing a crucial role in the month's export figures.
