The Philippines is set to resume duty-free exports of local pineapples to Australia, following the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission's decision to remove anti-dumping measures on consumer and food service industrial pineapples imported from the Philippines. The duties, which were in effect for the last 15 years, are set to expire on October 17 for consumer pineapple and November 13 for FSI pineapple. The decision was made due to the commission's finding that the expiration of the measures will not lead to dumping or material injury. In 2020, Australia was the Philippines' 15th largest trading partner, 20th export market, and 15th import source, with total bilateral trade valued at $1.17 billion.
