In April, Australia saw a significant decrease in its chickpea and lentil exports, with chickpea exports falling by 62% to 19,500 tonnes, primarily to Pakistan, and lentil exports decreasing by 2% to 159,734 tonnes. However, the lentil exports to India reached a record high of 104,163 tonnes. Despite the decrease in chickpea exports, demand remains low and is expected to continue at current levels, while lentil exports are projected to maintain high levels in May and June.
