Peruvian avocado exports grew 9% in value between January and September of this year

(Agraria.pe) Avocado exports totaled US$ 953 million between January and September of the current year, an amount 9% higher than the same period in 2022, in which US$ 874 million was invoiced, according to information from the Association of Exporters (ADEX). The Agroexports Manager of ADEX, Claudia Solano, pointed out that the weather conditions affected the result of last August's harvest, which with 45,000 tons of avocado registered a contraction of -6.9% compared to the same period in 2022. “According to information from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), the most affected regions that month were La Libertad (-32.8%) and Lima (-18.5%).
