Azerbaijan increased agricultural production by 3% in 9 months

The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in January-September 2023 amounted to 9 billion 996.9 million manats, which is 3% higher than the figure for 9 months of 2022, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax-Azerbaijan. The volume of production in livestock farming amounted to 4 billion 539.6 million manats, in crop production - 5 billion 457.3 million manats. At the same time, the growth in livestock production was 3.5%, crop production – 2.5%. In January-September, the republic produced 424.5 thousand tons of meat (an increase of 3.2%), 1 million 682.9 thousand tons of milk (an increase of 1.7%), 1 billion 662.7 million eggs (an increase by 11.9%), 15.1 thousand tons of wool (a decrease of 3%), 357 tons of silkworm cocoon (an increase of 4.6%).
