Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia officially established a policy for blending Petroleum-Based Fuel (BBM) with Biofuel (BBN). The policy aims to achieve energy self-sufficiency and promote the use of renewable energy. These regulations are stipulated in Minister of ESDM Decision Number 113.K/EK.05/MEM.E/2026 regarding the Phasing of Biofuel Utilization. The ministerial regulation comes into effect on the date set by ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, which is March 3, 2026. Through these regulations, the government mandates all petroleum-based fuel businesses to blend biofuel into their commercially sold petroleum-based fuel products. This obligation is stated in the first dictum of the ministerial decision.
