Brazilian banana exports experienced a 22% decrease between January and November of the same year, totaling 78,000 tons, due to low national supply and logistical issues, despite an increase in revenue by 2% to almost US$ 35 million. This decrease is largely attributed to climatic problems and reduced investment in cultural treatments, with Mercosur's restricted banana supply and price increases contributing to the situation. However, the ongoing economic crisis in Mercosur is expected to further limit export quotations, indicating a challenging end of the year for Brazilian banana exports.
