In September, Vietnam witnessed a significant surge in the prices of various fruits and vegetables due to high demand, limited supply, and the impact of storms and rain. Kien Giang saw sapodilla prices soar up to 10,000 VND / year, five times the price from last year, and banana prices increased due to both high demand and limited supply. Thai jackfruit prices in Hau Giang, Vinh Long, and Can Tho rose to nearly 70,000 VND / kg, a price three times higher than that of about three months ago and over 15,000 VND / kg more than the peak price of last year. Wax coconut prices in Tra Vinh province also increased due to tourist demand. Additionally, the prices of potatoes, carrots, and cauliflower in the Mekong Delta provinces and HCMC saw a sharp increase.
