Bapanas Emphasizes Rice Price Security Ahead of Nataru, Bali Remains Stable Thanks to Supply Surplus

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BALI -- The National Food Agency (Bapanas) ensures the stability of rice prices and supply in Bali Province remains maintained ahead of Christmas and New Year 2025/2026. This was emphasized by Deputy for Consumption Diversification and Food Security of Bapanas, Andriko Noto Susanto, during the Coordination Meeting of the Rice Price Control Task Force in Denpasar, Saturday (11/22). Andriko explained that out of 50 regencies/cities that previously experienced national rice price fluctuations, only 39 regions remain after various stabilization interventions were carried out. He emphasized that Bali, as a tourism area, is in a secure position in terms of supply, even though it must annually serve the food needs of around 15 million people, far exceeding the native population of only 4.4 million people.
