Since the beginning of the year, the agro-industrial complex of the republic has exported 2.5 times more grain and products of its processing to the countries of near and far abroad, the states of the Customs and European Unions than in the same period last year. In total, in the first quarter of this year, the specialists of the department controlled 3,637 batches of grain and products of its processing shipped to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belgium, the Republic of Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the Netherlands, Latvia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

The number of export batches of grain products more than doubled the figures for the same period in 2022, when 1,533 batches were shipped. The total volume of exported grain and products of its processing amounted to 147.46 thousand tons. For the same period in 2022, this figure amounted to a little over 86 thousand tons.
