Indonesia: Baznas targets Qurbani collection to reach IDR 13 trillion in 2023

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) targets the collection from Qurbani, or animal sacrifice, across Indonesia this year to reach a total value of IDR 13 trillion (US$ 866.8 million), a 30-percent increase from last year's figure collected . The agency's Head for Collection, Rizaludin Kurniawan, stated in Jakarta, Monday, that the agency managed to collect Qurbani animals of sheep or goats, with a total value of IDR 10.5 trillion (US$700 million) in 2022 and will continue to increase the figure .
