By André Marinho and Altamiro Silva Junior São Paulo, 11/02/2026 - The expanded credit portfolio of Banco do Brasil ended the fourth quarter of 2025 with a balance of R$ 1.3 trillion, an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period in 2024. In three months, the portfolio rose 1.4%, reflecting the public bank's still cautious stance on loan concessions. The agribusiness portfolio, which has been targeted by the non-payment problems faced by the public bank, advanced 2.1% over 12 months, to R$ 406 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the balance sheet released today. According to BB, the large enterprise portfolio totaled R$ 207 billion, while the government portfolio advanced to R$ 79 billion. In the individual category, the portfolio grew 7.6% in one year, and 1.8% in the quarter, to R$ 356.9 billion.
