By André Marinho São Paulo, 09/02/2026 - The volume of insurance premiums issued by Brasilseg fell by 11.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year, to R$ 3.82 billion. The information is contained in the balance sheet of BB Seguridade, a shareholder of the insurer, released this Monday, 9. The performance was pressured by the rural line, the largest of the insurer, whose issued premiums fell by 10.8% on an annual basis, to R$ 2.06 billion. In particular, the agricultural segment recorded a drop of 42.1% in issued premiums, to R$ 220.9 million, while the rural life producer had a decrease of 5%, to R$ 1.15 billion. In the lender insurance, the indicator fell by 23.5% in the period, to R$ 577.8 million. The company attributed the result to the contraction of sales in the individual segment, while the corporate segment grew by 10.3%, due to issuances in new lines of credit subject to protection.
