The prices of carioca and black beans ended August in opposite movements according to the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea). In the case of carioca, researchers explain that the preference dynamics for quality and the firm stance of producers sustained the values. For black beans, however, the ample supply continues to pressure prices.
