Beef and corn are highlights of Brazilian exports

Coal, coals and meat, this combination is popular among Brazilians, especially for Sunday lunch, and even some roasted vegetables like corn. As a way of celebrating these ingredients that are present on the population's table, this Wednesday (24) International Corn Day is celebrated; Beef and Barbecue Day. The date aims to celebrate Brazilian agriculture, as the country is one of the main producers and exporters in the world. “Brazil is a major food producer thanks to our strong agriculture, which generates income and opportunities”, highlighted the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro. With regard to beef, one of the most important productive sectors of the national economy, Brazil is the second largest producer, behind only the United States, according to the Secretariat of Trade and International Relations (SCRI).
