The Ministry of Agriculture and Food in Belarus has announced a ban on the export of flour and buckwheat products for the next three months, effective from July 19, 2021, with the aim of protecting the domestic market. The ban includes flour from wheat and spelled, cereals from buckwheat, dried buckwheat grain, and ready-made food products from buckwheat, except for exports for humanitarian purposes and transit traffic. The Ministry has assured that the country has enough grain, cereals, and flour reserves to supply the domestic market until the new harvest in 2021. This move comes after the EEC introduced a zero quota for the export of buckwheat outside the EAEU for Armenia, Belarus, and Russia, until August 31st.
