Vegetable growers in West Flemish have reached an agreement with frozen vegetable companies to increase prices for their harvest this year by 5 to 20%, in response to higher cultivation costs. The price increase will range from 5 to 9% for most vegetables, 10% for red cabbage, spinach, and kohlrabi, and 20% for courgettes. The growers had initially protested against the companies' proposed price increase of 3 to 5%.
