The Chililabombwe District in Zambia has empowered over 200 young people through 19 cooperatives with poultry farming stocks and agricultural inputs, such as day-old chicks, feeders, drinkers, stock feed, maize seed, and fertilizer. This initiative aims to leverage the potential of the nearby Kasumbalesa border market. The program has been successful, with good yields and positive feedback from the beneficiaries, who have reported that it has provided a source of income and helped them overcome poverty. The district has implemented monitoring and capacity building measures to ensure the success of the program.
