In an interview with the magazine "Gardening Ukrainian-Style," the farm owner Vitaliy Ishchurat spoke about this, writes agrotimes.ua.
The farm has been engaged in organic strawberries, raspberries, and sea buckthorn for many years and recently completed the transition period to obtain a Canadian organic certificate (COR) for fresh produce.
"We sell berries in fresh form to a customer who freezes them and sends them to various countries for export, including Canada," Ishchurat said.
Last year, TM "Berries of Volyn" harvested the final crop of alpine strawberries, taking a pause with this crop.
"For some reasons – most likely, the climate is changing – it no longer yields as much as we would like," Vitaliy Ishchurat noted. "The main crops that remain with us – garden strawberries and raspberries – are absolutely marketable. No matter how much we produce, everything is sold."
