Mexican beer consumption is expected to reach 2,100 million bottles in December, driven by the World Cup in Qatar and end-of-year festivities. The beer industry is recovering from challenges such as glass shortage and increased raw material costs, with sales channels like bars and restaurants reopening. Artisan producers are planning to pass increased costs to consumers, but do not plan to raise prices significantly to remain competitive. Beer production in Mexico is on the rise, with 94.5 million hectoliters produced from January to August 2022, marking a 4.8% growth from the same period in 2021 and 11.9% from 2019. Exports are also on the rise, with a 8.5% increase from 2022 and 16.7% above 2019 levels. The industry has seen a 9.34% increase in drink prices from December last year to November 2022.
