On September 15, 2020, the Committee on Statistics of Kazakhstan's Ministry of National Economy reported a significant increase in the country's grain and leguminous crop stocks. As of September 1, the stocks had risen to 6,011 million tons from 2.957 million tons a month earlier. This included an increase in agricultural organization stocks from 844.6 thousand tons to 2.218 million tons. The total wheat stocks were reported as 4.276 million tons, with food wheat making up 3.812 million tons. The stocks also included 1.387 million tons of barley, 16.28 thousand tons of rye, 95.07 thousand tons of oats, 53.3 thousand tons of corn, 45 thousand tons of rice, 4.8 thousand tons of buckwheat, and 7 thousand tons of millet.
