Bioinsecticide Cartugen® Max from AgBiTech Shows Itself Four Times More Effective in National Trials

The market for agricultural biodefensivos registered growth of 18% in the 2024-25 crop, reaching R$ 4.35 billion, according to data from the consultancy Kynetec. In this scenario, the company AgBiTech maintained the leadership in the segment of biolarvicides based on baculoviruses, with a highlight for the bioinsecticide Cartugen® Max, applied in soybeans, corn, and cotton. According to the marketing director of AgBiTech, Pedro Marcellino, trials conducted by various research institutions in the country proved that the product presented an average efficacy of 81%, while the four main competing brands registered an average of 18% in caterpillar mortality. Tests with Cartugen® Max were carried out in more than 45 locations in the country, totaling 1,800 Research & Development (R&D) bioassays.
