A conference in Honghe City, Yunnan Province, China, highlighted the rapid growth of the local blueberry industry, which benefits from the region's unique climate. With over 5,000 hectares of blueberry plantations producing around 105,000 tons, both international and local berry farming companies have established operations in Yunnan. However, concerns about market saturation, plant variety protection, and increasing labor costs were raised. Strategies for improving quality and exploring future export opportunities were also discussed.
