Carrots in Cam Giang district, Vietnam are experiencing a surge in demand from traders and are producing higher yields, reaching up to 1.8-2 tons per sao. The majority of the production is exported to West Asian countries, Asia, and Malaysia, with some meeting VietGAP standards for export to Japan and South Korea. The district has invested in infrastructure and cold storage to support carrot production, which has been trained and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and other agencies. The income value of carrot cultivation is 20 times higher than rice, making it a significant source of income for local farmers and contributing to poverty reduction in the district.
