The Ministry of Rural Development and Land ordered the National Service of Agricultural Health and Food Safety (Senasag) to audit the delivery of meat export certificates to Russia, due to alleged irregularities, to a company in Santa Cruz. “We have instructed Senasag to audit all the certificates that have been issued for exports. We have had some complaints, evidently, that irregularities might be occurring,” Minister of Rural Development and Land, Yamil Flores, said in a press conference. The issue was reported on September 25 by presenter Carlos Valverde, on his program Sin Compostura, and picked up by the newspaper CORREO DEL SUR. Valverde defined the case as a “trick” that would have been carried out by the company Frigorífico BFC S.A., whose beef exports from Bolivia were suspended by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, after the Customs of that country rejected six Certificates of Origin Form A issued for the Russian importer PT Sokolova M.S. and ...
