The COVID-19 pandemic and economic crises in Bolivia and globally have significantly impacted the country's exports, with over 60 national products ceasing export operations in the first half of this year. The most affected sectors are mining, agribusiness, and manufacturing, leading to a 25% decrease in exports, totaling $3,109 million, a drop of $1,045 million compared to the same period in 2019. The National Chamber of Exporters of Bolivia has expressed concern over the situation, pointing out financial difficulties, delays in export procedures, and issues with commercial promotion. Products such as iron minerals, lemon peels, and various agricultural and manufacturing products have seen a significant decrease in international sales.
