The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Indonesia reported a slight increase in the Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) to 103.26 in January 2021, a 0.01% increase from the previous month. This rise is attributed to a higher price index received by farmers (0.45%) compared to the price index paid by farmers (0.44%). The horticultural crop subsector played a significant role in this increase, with a 1.34% rise in the index received by farmers against a backdrop of only a 0.33% increase in the index paid. The price of various crops such as cayenne pepper, red chilies, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, oranges, and green chilies contributed to this surge.
