With the aim of supporting Brazilian and Cameroonian cocoa producers in promoting a more productive and sustainable cocoa sector, the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) of Brazil and the Ministry of Agriculture of Cameroon signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 8 in Brasília. Among the goals established in the bilateral agreement are the exchange of experiences, innovations, and technologies, the promotion of cooperatives, and the encouragement of the transformation of management and commercialization models in the sector. The actions and the exchange of experiences provided for in the ACT will be coordinated by the Executive Commission of the Cocoa Crop Plan (Ceplac) of Mapa and the Cocoa Development Society (SODECACO) of Cameroon.
