Brazil: Exports of pork and chicken meat rise in January

Brazilian pork exports (considering all products, including fresh, frozen, and processed) were record for the period. In total, 116.3 thousand tons were exported in January, a value 9.7% higher than the total exported in the same month last year, with 106 thousand tons. Export revenue reached US$ 270.2 million, a balance of 13.6% compared to the same period last year (and a record for the month of January), with US$ 238 million. The largest importer of Brazilian pork, the Philippines, was the destination for 37.4 thousand tons (+91%). Following were Japan, with 12.9 thousand tons (+58%), Hong Kong, with 8.8 thousand tons (-7%), China, with 8.3 thousand tons (-58%), Chile, with 7.7 thousand tons (result equivalent to 2025), Singapore, with 5.5 thousand tons (-16%), Uruguay, with 3.7 thousand tons (+1%), Ivory Coast, with 3.4 thousand tons (+3%), Mexico, with 3 thousand tons (+133%) and Argentina, with 2.8 thousand tons (-37%).
