Brazil is expected to break records in soybean production and exports.

The production and foreign trade of the Brazilian soybean complex are expected to reach historic levels in 2026. This projection is from the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove), which released the new supply and demand balance for the sector this week. According to the survey, Brazil will be able to produce 177.7 million tons of soybeans, the highest volume ever recorded. The advance in production accompanies the growth in processing capacity. Abiove estimates that soybean crushing will reach 60.5 million tons in 2026. With this, the production of soybean meal is expected to reach 46.6 million tons, while soybean oil will total 12.5 million tons—numbers that reinforce the industrial importance of the chain.
