According to the survey, in 2023, 10.5 million tons of the fruit were harvested from 954.7 thousand hectares, which represents 1.4% of the area cultivated with fruits and 1.1% of the global production. Mexico leads the world supply with 28.4%, followed by Colombia (10.4%), Dominican Republic (9.7%), Peru (9.4%) and Indonesia (8.4%).
