In January of this year, Brazilian importers procured wheat from Russia, with a total value of 10.9 million U.S. dollars. Prior to this, the purchase of Russian grain occurred in December 2024, but at that time the quantity was ten times less, amounting to only 1.1 million U.S. dollars. As of the end of January, Brazil had purchased wheat from only four countries, including Russia. The largest exporter to Brazil was Argentina (70.9 million U.S. dollars), followed by Uruguay (12.8 million U.S. dollars) and Paraguay (11.7 million U.S. dollars).
