Brazil has successfully expanded its agricultural markets, reaching a total of 150 in 43 countries since January 2019, thanks to efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. Recent additions include Mexico for Brazilian fish, and Turkey, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Costa Rica for specific agricultural products. This diversification strategy aims to reduce export concentration and is supported by the acceptance of necessary health, sanitary, phytosanitary, and veterinary certificates. Despite challenges such as African Swine Fever, the export value of Brazilian agribusiness has seen a significant 20.8% increase in the first half of 2021, totaling US$ 61.49 billion, and accounted for 45.3% of Brazil's total exports.
