The role of agriculture in climate change solutions and global food security was the central theme of the opening of the Planeta Campo Forum, held this Tuesday (11) in Belém, during the Conference of the Parties (COP30). The event, which takes place alongside the climate conference, is promoted by Canal Rural and brings together agribusiness leaders, researchers, and authorities to discuss the sector's role in sustainable development. Gilberto Tomazoni, global CEO of JBS, declared that agriculture should be seen as part of the solution to humanity's biggest challenges: climate and food. "We need to produce more, but in a sustainable way. Agriculture can and should do both at the same time," he stated.
