Brazilian export of beef reaches record for the month of January, Abiec reports

Brazilian beef exports registered the best performance ever recorded for a month of January, both in volume and revenue, according to data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), compiled by the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (Abiec). In January 2026, the country shipped 264 thousand tons, an increase of 26.1% compared to the same month in 2025, while revenue totaled US$ 1.404 billion, an advance of 40.2% in the same comparison. In the annual comparison, the result reflects the expansion of shipments and consistent demand from major importing markets. In January of last year, Brazil had exported 209.4 thousand tons, with revenue of US$ 1.002 billion. Beef in natura maintained the leadership of the export list in the period, with US$ 1.292 billion in revenue, equivalent to 91.97% of the total value exported, and volume of 231.8 thousand tons, or 87.8% of the total shipped in the month.
